The World Needs Us Now More Than Ever

Dear Members and Friends,

In 1830, St. Catherine Labouré, a novice in the community of the Daughters of Charity in Paris, made a promise to share with the world a medal designed by Mary. Like you, we have chosen to help with the promise to not only distribute the medal, but also provide meaning and purpose to her request. Each week, with your help, we share a light for all to see and we continue to grow our community of prayer with love for our Lady of the Miraculous Medal, changing the world for the better and bringing families closer to God through Mary.

You can be confident that we are reaching the lonely and vulnerable with life-giving spiritual blessings; spreading words of faith, hope and love; and providing a center of powerful prayer.

In 2018, we will be celebrating 100 years of making a difference in the lives of families in every state and more than 30 countries. It is truly a blessing of which we all can be proud. At daily Mass, and then again before noon each day, we pray for our many members and their special requests.

Together, we have helped you celebrate the birth of a grandchild, prayed with you during a difficult bout with cancer, cried with you as you said goodbye to a close friend, listened quietly as you asked for guidance during a trying time, and gave thanks at our Shrine for blessings received.

Just as St. Catherine embraced the challenges of spreading the medal, we too must embrace the challenges of our growing and dynamic ministry. Today, we are asking for your help as we begin a Capital Campaign to fulfill Mary’s promise, as well as to protect and preserve her legacy.

This campaign will make our beautiful grotto accessible to the physically challenged, provide much needed repairs to our center of prayer, the National Shrine, and create an endowment to ensure that our ministry will continue. Your gift will help us to share the story of the Miraculous Medal with many more people, not only today, but also tomorrow and beyond.

Before you decide on the amount of your gift, please prayerfully consider the generosity that God has shown you, the importance of Mary’s mission, and the abundant graces that have been showered upon you as one of our many proud members.

As you look through this website, please view our brochure. I am sure you will be delighted by the rosary walk design, our attention to Mary, and the impact it will have on our members.

May God make this dream a reality with your help.

Sincerely yours in Mary,

This new addition to the grounds is going to be a very inspirational place to pray with Mary. Picture yourself being called to the chapel, just as St. Catherine was in 1830, kneeling in front of a life-size bronze statue of Mary and holding her hands. This bronze will be just of Mary, her hands open to yours, ready to listen and be with you as you pray or discern. Just off her shoulder will be Jesus, because he too is listening to your every thought and word. A quiet and reflective place that will bring you closer to Jesus through Mary.
